Your financial life is personal. Control is built so that it stays that way.

WE DON'T COLLECT YOUR DATA

We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal information or your financial data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES

• On your device: Your transactions, budgets, and settings are stored on your iPhone, and on your other Apple devices when you use them with Control. • In your iCloud: If iCloud sync is on, your data syncs through your personal iCloud account. Apple stores it, and only you can access it. We cannot. • Shared households: When you invite someone to your household, your shared data is shared directly with them through iCloud. We cannot see it. See Shared Households below.

SHARED HOUSEHOLDS

Sharing a household is optional. When you invite someone, and they join:

• Everyone in the household sees the shared data: transactions, categories, budgets, and more. This includes what each member adds, comments on, and the name and avatar they choose. • Only the household owner can invite people. • When you join a household, the data on your device is replaced by the household's shared data, after you confirm. • You can leave a household at any time in Household settings. Your device then goes back to a household of its own, and the other members keep all of their data. • Share only with people you trust. We cannot see or remove what is shared between members.

PROCESSED ON YOUR DEVICE

These features work on your device. What they read is not sent to us:

• Receipt and document scanning (camera and photo library) • Apple Intelligence features, such as suggestions and insights • Face ID and passcode lock • Adding transactions to your calendar

SERVICES PROVIDED BY APPLE

Some features rely on Apple services. When you use them, Apple processes the request under the Apple Privacy Policy (apple.com/privacy). We do not receive this data.

• Maps and places: Searching for a place or pinning a merchant sends your search, or the location you choose, to Apple Maps. • Location: Only if you allow it, Control uses your location to pin a merchant when you finish a grocery trip. It is used only at that moment and is never sent to us. • Voice input: When you add a transaction by speaking, your speech is transcribed on your device when it supports this. On devices that don't, Apple's speech recognition service transcribes it. • Purchases: Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

OTHER THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Some features request public data from third-party services. These requests contain no account, name, or personal identifier.

• Exchange rates come from Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev). • Inflation data comes from the World Bank (api.worldbank.org).
